Your kit, your site
The hardware is yours, bought once. It lives in your building, on your network. Your data stays there, and the only copy that leaves is the encrypted backup you choose to keep with us.
Buy the servers once, keep them on your premises, keep every byte of your data. Caultex designs, builds, secures and runs the lot from our own secure operations centre, and sends you a plain-English report every week.
your kit · your site · our management
The hardware is yours, bought once. It lives in your building, on your network. Your data stays there, and the only copy that leaves is the encrypted backup you choose to keep with us.
We build it, patch it, watch it and back it up over an encrypted link that your site opens to our operations centre, so nothing inbound is opened on your firewall. Once it is up we work through it, and you can cut it yourself at any time. Engineers are on call for contract clients.
Every week: what we patched, what we checked, what the backups did, what we'd change next. Written for the owner, not the IT department. One retainer, no surprises.
We work in your building on a fixed day each week, so your business keeps running during the migration. Every step ends with something you can see working.
built & tested in our workshop first
We inventory what you run today: servers, apps, email, backups, who logs in to what. You get a written picture of your own estate, often for the first time.
A fixed-price build with the hardware itemised. Typically two capable nodes, a third for quorum and backup, a 10-gigabit switch, a NAS and a UPS. Our management, monitoring and reporting software comes with it, built by us for how you work.
The cluster is assembled, configured and soak-tested in our workshop before it ever reaches your building. Installation day is a cable job, not a build job.
Each server moves across on its own day and is verified before the next. Domain controllers, accounts, file servers, line-of-business apps. Old kit stays powered until you say so.
Monitoring goes live, backups run three ways, and the weekly report starts. From here it is a retainer: patching, checks, restores rehearsed on request, and a phone number that gets an engineer.
designed in Fusion, printed in-house, open-frame for airflow
A 3D-printed hexagonal stack we designed for a customer's private cloud: three Minisforum MS-A2 nodes, a QNAP NASbook, a fanless 1 kW power layer, a touchscreen console with a KVM on every machine, and one mains lead and one network lead going in. Spin it, explode it layer by layer, and read the wiring and the kit list.
Your own virtual servers on Proxmox. Run Windows, Linux, anything. Add a server in minutes, no per-machine cloud charge.
Snapshot storage on the cluster, a second copy on your own NAS, a third encrypted in our data centre. Verified every week. Restores rehearsed on request.
Health, temperatures, disk, backups and pending updates for every machine, checked every few minutes. You can see what we see on your own dashboard.
Management runs over an encrypted tunnel that your site opens to ours, so no inbound ports are opened on your firewall. We work through that tunnel, and you can cut it yourself.
The dashboard, the weekly report, the monitoring agent and the spam engine are all written and run by Caultex. When your business needs something specific, a quoting tool, a portal, a job tracker, we build that too.
Bring your email off Exchange or Microsoft 365 onto your own cluster, or host it with us. Outlook keeps working either way.
A Slough manufacturer ran their business on three ageing HP servers under VMware and were looking at a Broadcom renewal. We built a three-node Proxmox cluster, put Proxmox Backup Server on a QNAP in their building with an encrypted third copy in our data centre, migrated every virtual machine, and switched over with no change to how anyone works. The domain controller moved in 3 hours 35 minutes. Their accounts system was live-migrated between nodes with 131 milliseconds of interruption. Our monitoring and weekly report have run on it ever since.
You do, outright, from day one. We specify it and can supply it, or you buy it yourself. There is no lease and no lock-in.
Your cluster keeps running. It is built on open-source software with no licence key, the documentation lives with you, and any competent engineer can take over. That is the point of owning it.
Copy one on the cluster, copy two on your own NAS in your building, copy three encrypted in our data centre. Never on another customer's kit.
We manage the platform, not your files. Access is logged, the management link is opened from your side, and you can cut it whenever you like.
A fixed-price build with the hardware itemised, then a monthly retainer for the running of it, which includes our management software, monitoring and the weekly report. No per-user, per-server or per-gigabyte charges. Ask for a quote and you get real numbers, not a call from sales.
Tell us about your setup. An engineer will come back with a clear, fixed scope.
